CBIC will put the revamped draft GSTR-1, GSTR-1A and IFF (Invoice Furnishing Facility) forms on the myGov.in portal from 1 November 2026. Businesses and professionals can send comments until 30 November 2026.
The new forms were approved at the 57th GST Council meeting on 8 October 2026 and will apply from 1 April 2027. Their main aim is to reduce notices caused by mismatches between what suppliers report and what buyers claim.
What this means for you
- Nothing changes in your current GSTR-1 filing. Keep filing as usual until the new forms are notified.
- If you file many invoices or credit notes, review the drafts in November and share feedback on anything that would be hard to report.
- Start keeping invoice data clean and complete now, so the move to the new forms in April 2027 is smooth.
