Services are delivered in good faith by independent experts, but outcomes may depend on external factors.

How to Request Cancellation or Refund
You can submit a cancellation or refund request through the following contact channels:

- The company reserves discretion in evaluating each request
Full Refund Eligibility
Early cancellation
- Request is made within 4 hours of payment
- Work has not started
- No expert has been assigned
Payment errors
- Duplicate payment
- Excess payment
- Accidental transaction requiring reversal
Partial Refund Eligibility
Client ineligibility
- If the client is not eligible or fails to provide required documents
- Typically subject to a 25% deduction
- Applicable only if work has not been assigned
Late cancellation
- Cancellation after 4 hours of payment
- Minimum deduction may apply
- Refund amount may be reduced or declined based on progress
No expert assigned in 30 days
- If no expert is assigned within 30 days
- Refund may be allowed with a 25% deduction
Non-Refundable Cases
- Required documents are not submitted
- The client does not respond for 7 days through available contact channels
- Work has already been assigned to an expert
- There is a policy violation, including misuse by agents or intermediaries
- The service becomes impossible due to legal or regulatory changes
Government Fees and Penalties
- Government fees are non-refundable
- Any penalties, late fees, or statutory charges must be borne by the client
- Startup Mates is not responsible for such government or authority-imposed amounts
Refund Processing
Refund method
Approved refunds are generally processed back to the original payment method, or to a bank account where required.
Processing timeline
Refund processing may take a minimum of 15 working days after approval.
Escalation and Disputes
- Disputes are governed by Indian law
- Courts of Delhi will have jurisdiction unless otherwise required by law
- Startup Mates may update this policy from time to time without prior notice
